Madison, WI | Part 1

If you follow me on Instagram I'm sure you're aware that this blog post is more than a bit delayed, to be quite honest the entire month of October was kind of hectic for me and I failed to keep up with the blog.  Well, this month will be different I promise and I guess I'm still just getting the hang of how to balance my work life and personal life - I'd love to hear if any of you experience the same issue and if so, how do you handle it?  Any tips would be appreciated.

Anyways, on to the blog post at hand...

Late September, my husband and I took a trip to Madison, WI and we had the absolute hardest time trying to settle on a hotel.  After hours of research we decided to find a place to say in the city through Airbnb.  If you haven't heard of Airbnb, it's simply a "trusted community marketplace" for people to list their homes and or apartments for complete strangers to utilize for a set amount of time.

We settled on this beautiful little "eco-hideaway" for our four day stay and the whole process of booking the little house was a breeze with Airbnb.  My husband and I were a little hesitant to believe just how nice this little house appeared through the pictures, it just seemed to good to be true.  But, with our minor hesitations and all, we were excited to stay in a tiny house so we could get a feel of what it would be like to live within the city.

When we arrived, we couldn't believe just how beautifully decorated it was and we felt incredibly lucky to have found the perfect little place to call our "home away from home."  Below are some photos I shot of the little house during our stay...

Because our first experience with Airbnb was so great, I know it's going to be our first resource when looking for a place to stay during our next vacation.

Have you ever found a place to stay through Airbnb?  If so, leave a comment below, I'd love to hear about your experience!  Check back soon for the second part of this post!
